I made it through seven levels, but since the game is still in Early Access there may be more than the current 15 by the time it gets a full release. It’s not an easy game, and since getting caught resets the level - with the objects being randomly placed each time - it can quickly get frustrating. You can hide in things like cupboards and barrels, and certain objects can be moved around the area to help you and hinder the cops. Not that their predictability makes it any easier. You’re equipped with a vacuum cleaner and your wits, and have to pick up weapons, bag up bodies and clean up blood all while the police scour the scene in predictable patterns. The music is suitably funky and everyone has an afro and flares, really selling the theme. Serial Cleaners comes to PC and unspecified consoles early next year. Serial Cleaners also drops its setting 20 years into the future, taking place in 1999 New York City on New Year's Eve. Serial Cleaners ups the ante with more open-ended map designs, non-linear storytelling complete with dialogue choices (and consequences). The first game was all about stealthily mopping up bloody floors and removing bodies while avoiding guards and other hazards. Get to know her by watching the trailer above. She’s able to hack into computer terminals and short circuit electrical devices across long distances, adding a high-tech edge to a dirty profession.
